Thinking About Homeschooling: Please Help!

My training is as a Montessori teacher for ages 2.5 - 6. I am thinking about homeschooling my 8 year old and my 10 year old. My husband's concern is about making sure they are meeting the benchmarks of a traditional school grade level.

I like the idea of units and think that it will fit my children's learning styles and our life style but the last thing I want is for me to miss some critical piece of their education in terms of math or English. Do you have any suggestions?
