Texas Homeschool Laws and Curriculum Question

Help! My husband and I have decided to homeschool our son. He will be four and needs pre-kindergarten. We live in Texas and we have no idea where to start.

Hi Erika,

You can find some homeschool preschool ideas and helpful advice from other homeschooling parents on my website.

Personally, I have never used a curriculum for preschool, we just play games, read books and work together around the house. Preschoolers love helping and learn so much just by interacting with you.

If your preschooler is ready to do some more structured learning, you could try Before Five In A Row (available from fiveinarow.com) or ABC Home Preschool has some great re-usable curriculum for young children aged 2-6 years you might want to look at.

my son just started pre k, and we are wondering if we did the right thing by sending him to public school, he complains he's bored and school is too long,I been teaching him at home for a couple of years now, but i'm afraid i wont be able to teach him later. i would like to find a support group in Houston Texas
