Taking a student out of public high school; an unsure mom has a Tennessee homeschool question...

I have a 15 year old and she does not like high school. We are trying to get her out of public school but we don't know how to.

Hi Cindy,
The first thing you will want to do is familiarize yourself with the homeschool laws and requirements for your state. You have a few (5) options when homeschooling in Tennessee. Here is a easy-to-understand summary of the Tennessee homeschool laws provided by HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association). You will find some Tennessee home school support information on my website as well as some other Tennessee homeschooling questions and answers.

If you decide to pull your daughter out of high school, you will want to request a copy of her transcript. You will find a myriad of curriculum options for high school - from traditional textbook curriculum to unit studies; choose a method that both you and your daughter like.

Blessings,
Heather :)
