Teenage Mom Needs Free Home School Program
by Krystian
(Covington TN)
Hi, I'm a teenage mom to be and I will be having my baby before August and I'm looking to try and enroll in an online home school course for 12th grade. It needs to be tuition free because I have no income. If you can, some assistance in finding a online school program would be much appreciated Thanks!
Hi Krystian,
You might want to look into hippocampus.org and freeworldu.org. Both of these online programs provide free online curriculum. You pay extra for additional support - transcripts, etc. through Free World U, but you could work independently through their different courses.
Connections Academy offers a free online public school in certain states, but I don't see that the free program is available in Tennessee yet.
Another free option to help you get your GED is gedforfree.com.
I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Tennessee home schooling laws and requirements. Also, contact THEA (tnhea.org) - a statewide Tennessee support group. They have local chapters and may be able to help you locate free home schooling resources, materials or other support.
I hope this helps! Other website visitors who home school in Tennessee may provide additional help and guidance for you.
Blessings,
