Teaching Textbooks Homeschooling Math Review
I've tried many homeschooling math curriculums over the years with my daughter (my singular sensation; a senior this year) whom I've homeschooled since 4th grade. We've both shed many tears at math time. Finally we found Teaching Textbooks - and we love them! We've used them now for Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry. I wish we had found them sooner so we could have also gotten in Pre-Calculus before graduation! This curriculum is a little pricey on first glance - compared to buying a Saxon book, for example. But trust me, its well worth the price! We buy and sell ours via our homeschool group to keep costs in check - and to pass on the opportunity to help another family struggling with math. This program comes with a complete set of DVDs that walk through every single lesson - like a private tutor. This is an incredible program and it changed the way math gets done in our house. My daughter now is making A's in math. (She still doesn't particularly like it, but she's passing it finally - and without the tears, struggles, temper-tantrums, procrastination, etc.!)
