Do you use Switched on Schoolhouse curriculum? New-to-homeschooling mom needs some SOS help...

My name is Tammy and I had one more question. We have decided to go with the Switched on Schoolhouse curriculum and have downloaded the software on the computers.

My question is: I really don't know where to start when the kids start their first day of school. Is anyone using this curriculum and if so can you help me get started?

The curriculum did not come with a book so I'm a little concerned about getting started. Thanks for your help!

Hi Tammy!
Check the Switched-On Schoolhouse Curriculum Support area of the AOP website. I don't use SOS, but I see some downloadable documents that may be of help to you.

From the side menu bar, click on "Support", under "Switched On Schoolhouse".

Then find the heading "Switched-On Schoolhouse Technical Support", and click "Reference Guides".

If you are using the home version all you need to do is log in as Teacher and then click on Lesson Book at the right side of the screen. Then click on the tab at the top that says lesson plan and then click on the student's name. Now you can see what is assigned for each day and you can review what is going to be taught that day by clicking on the lessons. When your student is ready to start, you have them log in as Student and start their lesson. It helps to look around in the program to familiarize yourself with it. If you need help, on the main page for Teacher there is Help that opens tutorials and the user manual.
