Experienced home educator shares some hassle-free benefits of Switched on Schoolhouse curriculum...

We have used several curricula over the years. However my son really enjoyed the Switched on Schoolhouse history program.

The video and web links really held his attention. There is something to be said about "seeing" history as well as just reading about it. Plus, he liked the instant feedback that the program gives him following each question.

I like that I had complete control of what was assigned and when, but the computer program reminded him daily of his assignments. I also liked that we could both just check where he was in finishing everything and it took the pressure off of me deciding if he needed to do more or less each day.
