South Africa Homeschooling Question

South Africa Homeschooling Help
I want to start home schooling in the last term of Grade 3 and not sure if Horizons does the full curriculum or only Math. Please send me more detailed information and what the costs are? Is there an outlet in South Africa and who is the closest representative in Gauteng?
Congratulations on your decision to start home schooling. Horizons is published by AOP, or Alpha Omega and is for Grades PreK to Sixth, however not every grade has every subject unfortunately.
For Grade 3, you will find Penmanship, Math, Health and Physical Education, but will need to find other curriculum for Language Arts, Science, etc.
Alpha Omega is very affordable, although Horizons seems to be a little more expensive than AOP's LifePacs curriculum.
AOP does not have a representative in South Africa. AOP does ship to South Africa, however they charge an international shipping fee of $50 or 50% of the product total for orders shipped oversees. (Believe it or not, some companies charge even more!)
I would recommend that you order your homeschool curriculum from CBD.
As of September 2009, CBD's international shipping charges are:
International Economy Air Service (2-6 weeks delivery)*
Up to $30.00 $10.00
$30.01 up 35%
* Please note that air delivery to some areas in the South Pacific, Africa, Bermuda and Singapore can take slightly longer. Delivery to the West Indies and Caribbean can take 12+ weeks.
View CBD's current International Shipping Charges.
You can purchase Horizons through CBD (as well as all AOP curriculum) and the shipping will be less. You can find other curriculum for the additional subjects you need, or if you like Alpha Omega homeschool curriculum, you could use the LifePacs for the other subjects.
You will find a large selection of discounted homeschool curriculum, books and materials. Personally, I have never had a problem with CBD, and my shipments always arrive on time.
I hope this helps you. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
