Sonlight Homeschool Curriculum Review
I initially started using a free online course for preschool but found that I was modifying it to fit my needs and creating a lot of it on my own. As time went on I no longer had the time I was spending and was told, for the 2nd time, about Sonlight homeschool curriculum. I began using Sonlight for Pre-school 4/5 last September and absolutely loved it! The teaching plans are neatly lined out and easy to follow. My little one loves to be read to so it was a great program because it really had a lot of reading. The "Developing the Early Learners" were a lot of fun for her and I added the Kumon mazes, tracing, cutting, folding and eventually some letter tracing pages I found online. P4/5 is a 36 week course. The value was good because we have some wonderful classic books that she will use for years and the time it saved me was well worth it! As such, we just started Sonlight Kindergarten and so far we are very pleased with the lesson plans and the books that she will be learning from. My daughter was so excited when everything came she didn't want to finish P4/5...she wanted to immediately start kindergarten! If you plan to use Sonlight homeschool curriculum more than once, I would recommend copying the consumable pages so that you don't have to purchase them a 2nd time and find out that somethings been updated and no longer goes along with everything you already have.
