Sonlight Homeschool Curriculum Makes Learning and Teaching Fun!

While Christian based, Sonlight homeschool curriculum gives an open-minded, realistic look on what is best in our world. Through Sonlight's literature reading books, the struggles and triumphs of real life experiences through the ages, are revealed. This really brings history to life.

Sonlight provides carefully selected literature from a vast array of writers and publishers, not just it's own. This provides for a broader, more independent view.

The curriculum allows for flexibility. For example, you can choose from several different math programs, and many electives. You can pick and choose what you want to use.

If there is a particular aspect you don't like, you don't have to get it. For example, I prefer Shurley English for grammar rather than the one Sonlight offers, but I do like Sonlight's phonics resources.

I have been using Sonlight for five years now, with both my children. It's nice when my child picks up a book he considers exciting, and doesn't even realize he's learning about the geography, terrain, wildlife, and culture of another country; but he sure does talk about it!

It is a bit pricey, but my children are worth it. Also, Sonlight's literature based curriculum makes teaching more enjoyable for me, as well. They do offer a payment plan now, so it is more affordable for more families.
