The Seton homeschooling program was birthed because a growing number of parents wanted more control over their children's education.
Seton began as a private, parent-operated middle school and high school Catholic school, founded in 1975, by Dr Anne Carroll. News of the school spread and students from around the country began to attend.
As more and more parents wanted more control of their child's education, the school grew. However, many parents didn't have the money or the desire to send their children away for an entire school year; as a result, the Seton Home Study Program began in 1980.
At the core of Seton is the belief that all:
"Parents are the first and the most important educators of their own children, and they also possess a fundamental competence in this area; they are educators because they are parents."
Seton now offers complete homeschool curriculum and services from Preschool through high school. Enrolled families have access to:
Seton offers a complete full-service Catholic homeschooling program for grades Pre-K through 12th grade. The Seton Home Study School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), one of the accrediting agencies recognized by the Department of Education.
Seton curriculum offers everything you will need to teach your child at home. Teacher guides include detailed lesson plans and a daily schedule. You will not have to use your valuable time creating lessons, they are done for you - just open the book and spend time with your child.
If you're concerned about record-keeping and transcripts, have no fear. Grading, record keeping, transcript and diploma services are included in your enrollment. You and your student will also have access to Seton homeschooling advisors for academic and support counseling - for any grade and subject. Your teen can even participate in a high school graduation ceremony!
Seton's placement tests, along with their professional academic advisors help you know exactly where your child will begin with the curriculum.
Seton offers a $50 discount when you enroll multiple children. For example: Your first child enrolls for $495, the second will enroll for $445, the third for $395, the fourth for $345, and so on.
Another little money-saving opportunity - Seton also offers a book credit for any books you already own.
Don't have the total amount up front? That's okay, because Seton's payment plan allows you to spread out the cost between eight months. If you pay the total amount when enrolling your children, you will save money, though.
