Saxon Phonics Intervention Course Review

The Saxon Phonics Intervention course has enabled my son to learn to spell correctly. He has always been a strong reader, but a horrible speller. Since learning the basics of phonics, he is now able to spell correctly most anything!

We began using it when he was in the fourth grade, and as it is a repetitive program that builds skills sequentially, he retained the information easily. The teacher's manual is written so that even if you do not have strong skills in the basics of phonics (and lets be honest, some of us don't!) that is not a hindrance in any way. The lessons are clearly written out so that you clearly know what to say and do.

The complete system is on the pricier side, but WELL worth EVERY penny. The student workbooks are consumable, but if you keep the system to use again, you need only buy a new student workbook. All in all, I couldn't be happier with my decision to use Saxon Phonics Intervention.
