I have been supremely satisfied with Rod and Staff Publishers for our homeschooling needs by and large.

My five year old absolutely LOVES these Rod and Staff homeschool preschool ABC workbooks. She begs to do her schoolwork. I love that the books are sequential. You start with the *A* book and work your way through the books alphabetically.
We've been using this for a few months now. I've tried other curricula, but she got bored easily and wouldn't sit still.
This is a PK/K level. Rod and Staff does not believe in Kindergarten, so if your child has finished all the books they may go on to the *Going on Eagerly G-H-I* series.
The best thing about all of Rod and Staff's homeschool curricula is the price. They are very affordable. I believe I paid $14 for the set. I opted not to get the Bible Stories book that goes along with it.
If you already have Bible Stories in your home, you may choose not to get their Bible Stories book. This is a Biblically based curriculum, as Rod and Staff is owned by Mennonites.

I like the Rod and Staff homeschool math books because they have plenty of review and practice, and are easy to use.
I like the word problems because they are often Christian and always practical. The word problems are often about farming and we are city folks, but that is OK.
I have used Rod and Staff Math 3rd grade through 7th grade with my youngest two children. It is very affordable; the books cost around $15, but it’s been many years since I actually purchased them.

We bought the homeschool preschool curriculum from Rod and Staff.
We love the Bible Stories to Read and the coloring book. The rest is hit and miss. Many of the pages in the other workbooks are beyond preschool. Seeing as we learn mostly through play for preschool, however, they're just right for supplementing here and there. There aren't many of the pages that the kids can do independently, but that's all right as long as you're willing to sit with your preschooler.
Overall, I would recommend only the 2 mentioned books. The rest I could have really done without.
Thanks for the curriculum review, Jim! I don't get many from homeschooling dads - I appreciate your thoughts. Blessings, Heather :)
