Registration and Letter of Intent to Homeschool Questions

Letter of Intent to Homeschool Help

Letter of Intent to Homeschool Help

I have three homeschooled kids. I handed my intend to homeschool letter in August. I just got a letter saying that they don't have a registration form for one of my kids. The school sent me a registration form to fill out. Half of the questions on it don't apply to us. What do I do? Should I just give them her name, grade & birthdate?

Hi, so we can best help you, can you tell us what state you homeschool in?

which state
by: mrs dani

Which state you are in will decide what is legally required on these forms. You are wise to only provide what is required by law. You need to go to the HomeSchool Legal Defense Association (www.hslda.org) and contact them. You may need to become member (dues run from $10 to $12 a month)

They are lawyers and tell you which forms you have to fill out, and represent you if they school district tries give you trouble. (some do, most dont)

For what little they charge, it is well worth the peace of mind they provide. I have had to use them in the past and they are a big help.
