Homeschooling in Mexico: Help Needed

Homeschooling in Mexico: Help Needed

Can you help? Concerned mom of two children needs some guidance and direction to begin homeschooling in Mexico.

I'm currently thinking of moving to Mexico. My 4th and 3rd grader speak very little spanish so I was thinking of homeschooling as an option but have no idea where to start. I'm going through a divorce so I need to make sure it is all legal in case my husband decides he wants to use homeschooling against me.

Hi Berenice,
There is a homeschool support organization in Mexico called El Hogar Educador.

Contact Information:
Mike Richardson
1001 South 10th St., Suite G-529
McAllen, TX 78501
Phone Number: 770-713-9053
Email: vnm(at)hughes.net

Their upcoming homeschool conference is August 13-14, 2010 in Saltillo, Mexico.

Here is a recent copy of the publication for parents homeschooling in Mexico. (Click on the "Open Publication" link below.

I hope this helps!
Blessings,
Heather
