Preschool Home Schooling Advice

I was very nervous about home schooling my little guy, but it has been the best choice I have ever made. I am in complete control of my son's education now, and I am able to adjust it to exactly what he needs. We can work on the things he needs more help in and continue to keep him on track with everything! I get to spend my days teaching my little guy, what's better then that? I will continue to home school my son for as long as possible and I recommend it to everyone with kids!
Public schools are good, but the teacher to student ratio is way beyond what it should be. If your anything like me, you can't afford private school and daycare for pre K age kids, so what's better then teaching them yourself? Nothing! You can still work because you get to teach your kids on your time, not that of a public school.
The one thing that I must insist on is making sure that your kids still have time with other kids. My son is 4 and I have been home schooling him for 6 months now, but every Thursday we have 3 or 4 kids spend the day with us. This gives my son a chance to be with kids his age and have fun. I always plan some kind of art project for the kids to do while they are with us. Last week it was paper-mache fun and this week its puppet making. Keep it fresh and fun, remember to always challenge your kids to create and have fun! Kathryn,
