Office Max Teacher Appreciation Event

Mark your calendars for Office Max Teacher Appreciation Day during the month of August! All teachers (home educators included) will receive a free re-usable shopping bag and will receive 25% off everything you purchase.

Office Max usually has some free giveaways for the first 150 or so educators that arrive at each store.

You must be a Max Rewards for Teachers* member.
*Educator ID required.

Don't have a home educator ID card? PEAH issues free homeschool id cards through homeschool groups or when you submit a homeschool curriculum/business review through our website.

Event days are different for each location this year, instead of the two-day-only event they hosted last year. Visit Office Max to find an event near you.

OfficeMax Teacher Appreciation Date

Hi,
When I contacted OfficeMax, August 8th, 2010 was the date I was given. They don't do such a great job of marketing their Teacher Appreciation Days, do they? The CEO just left the company. Perhaps they are focusing on other business issues and the Teacher Perks Program isn't as important...

Why Sunday as a designated day for Teacher Appreciation?

Last year and now this year Office Max Teacher Appreciation Days have been selected for Sundays--why so??? Other competitors respect the fact that some people don't shop on Sundays and offer other days as alternatives. Office Max used to be on Saturdays--why did they change?

DISSAPPOINTED .....AGAIN

Is there any way you could share the teacher appreciation day with all the educators so everyone is on the same page. I missed it AGAIN this year! I remember one year I actually got a reminder in the mail from Office Max. This year I missed the event....AGAIN. I think when you have the event it is so inconsistent...sometimes in July sometimes Aug. Office Depot always has their event the first week in Aug..in conjunction with tax free days. This makes so much sense for the teachers since we do not get reimbursed for what we purchase for our students......due to budget cuts and in my case, I have never been reimbursed in my 24 years of teaching.

Bad advertising

Lack of advertising is going to cost their company in the long run. Each year they have participated in teacher's appreciation and it has coincided with the Staples teacher's appreciation. I'm a bit confused why I had to bother to sign up for a "teacher's card" if I'm not going to receive mailers from the company. Why bother having my address, email address and phone number on file?

Why there isn't advertising

One of the big reasons why you won't see any advertising for teacher day is the fact that each store is different. Depending on their price district they decide when to have their event. One way to keep up to date with the event is to visit the store itself, they will usually have a board displaying the day 2 weeks out, and they will hand out flyers/coupons 2/3 weeks out.
