My Fathers World Homeschooling Kindergarten Disappointment

MFW Homeschooling Kindergarten Woes

MFW Homeschooling Kindergarten Woes

We purchased My Fathers World homeschooling kindergarten curriculum for the 2009-2010 school year to start our first year of homeschooling. My Fathers World is a very simple text to follow; however, very boring for my child.

The concept is to follow the alphabet, and study a single letter for an entire week. Each letter follows the same routine, and after two or three letters my daughter was very bored.

While My Fathers World curriculum is very inexpensive, you end up buying extra books for math, science and reading. Their curriculum focuses on mainly on Language arts. We have switched companies for 1st grade in hopes of having a better experience.

Christina, thanks for sharing your My Fathers World experience with others who are looking for homeschooling kindergarten materials. Not every curriculum works well for every family or student – it's always good to know some of the pitfalls. I hope you were successful at finding something that works with your daughter this year! Blessings, Heather
