My Father's World Homeschool Kindergarten Curriculum

by Rebekah
(Dearborn, MI, USA)

Affordable, easy-to-use homeschool kindergarten curriculum; learn more about My Father's World and find helpful, cost-cutting tips from a money-saving Michigan homeschooling mom...

My name is Beka and my husband Rob and I have two daughters; Mikayla-5 years old and Hannah- 2 years old. I started homeschooling my 5 year old last year with the My Father's World kindergarten curriculum.

The thing I loved most about it was the complete organization to the lesson plans. It came packaged neatly in a binder with very easy day by day activities. I love that every week they offered a hands-on craft or science project to do. (i.e play-doh crafts, science experiments, painting, building, etc...) Each activity has a list of the needed materials. Most of the things needed for the activities were the average household item or could easily be printed from home. The time spent each day doing the lessons were very age appropriate.

As a Christian, I really loved that each weeks lessons were focused on a character building trait and gave Bible verses to read and memorize. This aspect really helps to join everyday educating with Biblical topics at a 4 or 5 year olds level. The curriculum also includes a large book list to read with your child, most of which you can borrow at your local library.

I found My Father's World homeschool curriculum very affordable. You have the choice to just buy the lesson planning book with the student work book only or add on supplemental supplies if desired. You can also buy the deluxe package which includes it all for a discounted rate. I like the choice to be able to use whatever materials I may already have at home and not be forced to buy a more expensive package.

My cost cutting tips are to utilize your internet and printer capabilities and print up whatever you can at home. Also go to the library and take advantage of all of the resources there.

Excellent review of My Father's World, Rebekah! Thanks for taking the time to help other parents learn more about MFW homeschool kindergarten curriculum. I appreciate your money-saving tips too! Blessings, Heather :)
