My Father's World Homeschool Curriculum Question

by Amy
(usa)

I am considering changing our homeschool curriculum to My Father's World this year, with my four children. My question is how much time and prep on my part will it take? Of course I know the younger children will need more help until they are able to read well. I have a kindergartner, a 2nd grader, a 7th grader, and a 10th grader. We pastor a church and run a business while homeschooling so time is very valuable. I would appreciate your thoughts and comments. Thanks!! Amy

Love My Father's World!
by: Jenni Saake (InfertilityMom)

We have used My Father's World with all three of our children, starting when the oldest was just 4. He's about to start 5th grade now, so I don't have experience with the high school levels, but I do have a chronic illness with very limited ability to plan lessons. I've said over and over that all the planning that the authors put into MFW is why I'm able to homeschool. It takes so little pre-prep on my part and yet they still receive a very rich education that is in depth and very Biblically grounded!
I would encourage you to check out the message boards on the My Father's World website and even call MFW directly and share your questions and concerns. They truly care about the unique makeup and needs of every family and will be great about talking through your unique family dinamic to help you feel comofrtable in this decision.
Please let me know if there are specific things I can help you with. My blog is www.InfertilityMom.blogspot.com :)
