Monart Homeschool Art Review

Homeschool Art Made Easy

Homeschool Art Made Easy

New homeschooling mom reviews an easy-to-use homeschool art resource for young children...

I am a new homeschool mom to a 5 1/2 year old girl and a 2 1/2 year old girl. Art has been a concern of mine when thinking about homeschooling my daughters. It is an area that I am not strong in nor do I have the knowledge or confidence to teach it. Then I found the Monart Art Method via the book "Drawing With Children" by Mona Brookes.

I have not been using the book long but I can say I am completely on fire that I WILL be able to teach myself and my daughters drawing concepts that will inspire them to be creative. This method of teaching is a non-judgmental and simple way to teach basic art concepts. Everything we teach and learn about has basic tools to build upon as we learn.

The author has done an incredible job at breaking down art into simple and easy to teach concepts; even the "non-artistic" can learn these methods. I would highly recommend this book as a supplement to your homeschool curriculum. This book does come with the My Father's World First Grade Curriculum deluxe package.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful homeschool art resource, Rebekah; your thoughts are much appreciated! Happy Drawing! Heather :)
