Landmark Curriculum and Academy Questions

Homeschooling questions and answers about purchasing the Landmark curriculum for Kindergarten how to enroll in Landmark Christian Homeschool Academy...

My name is Candis Noland and I have a 5 year old who will be starting kindergarten this year. I am very passionate about wanting to homeschool my child, but I am having such a hard time getting started. I can't seem to find any info on the pricing or curriculum for Landmark. I also can't find the information on how to apply or what curriculum is required and how soon I need to apply. I basically have no idea what I'm doing or what I need to know. Any information you could give me would be of tremendous help to me. Thank you and I appreciate your time.
Thanks, Candis Noland

before you buy
by: mrs dani

Candice,

Before you go buying or enrolling or anything else, I would STRONGLY suggest you attend a Homeschool Convention. These are set up with workshops and vendors. Many times there are several in each state depending upon where you live.

The benefits are you can attend short (45 min) workshops that can help you decide the best curriculum for your family. You can browse through the vendor setups and not just pick up their books and look through them but talk to the knowledgable staff and other mothers who have been through it. You can take your time and either buy there (and generally get some great discounts) or buy later via online or mail order.

You can conact your local Homeschooling support group or go to Homeschool Legal Defense Association (www.hslda.org) and look on the right side of the site for the "In your state" link. Click and on that page (with the US map) look on the left bar and click on Organizations. Then on the next page scroll down to your state. After clicking on your state you will see a PARTIAL list of groups in your state. they can help you find the convention closest to you.

You will find great help and encouragement beyond what you can do on your own or get on websites.

Good Luck and God Bless!
