Homeschool Review: K12 Curriculum

Taking your kids out of public school? This mom did and shares why she chose and loves K12 curriculum. Read her K12 review to decide if this program is right for you...

We love the K12 curriculum. My son is in 2nd grade and he can work at his own pace and move up to the next grade level when he is ready. Currently, we are almost finishing up in 2nd grade and will be able to start 3rd grade in April.

The lessons are on the computer and most have audio and games. It's fun and engaging. And the best is that he's learning by himself. I guide him, but I don't have to teach every lesson or prepare the lesson for him. Everything is done by them. My son is maybe on the computer for 1-2 hours a day. He gets his lessons or instructions and completes the activity or assignment for the subject.

This is currently our 1st year using this program and our first year out of the brick and mortar public school.

The program is free. All you need is the Internet. You just have to open enroll in a public school that offers this program. Then they will send you all the books, materials, computer, and scanner/printer. Depending on the school, they even pay for part of your internet fee.

Thanks for sharing your experience with K12 curriculum, Carrie; your thoughts are much appreciated and will be helpful to others! Blessings, Heather :)
