Jo-Ann Stores Homeschool Discount

Home educators are invited to sign-up for the Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores' Teacher Rewards program online or at more than 750 Jo-Ann Stores across the country.

While the previous year's cards are valid through August, teachers and home school educators are encouraged to register for their new cards beginning August 1--before their current cards expire!

In addition, most stores will participate in a special JoAnn Teacher Appreciation Day each August - this is a special day that teachers can shop and save 20% on their back to school purchases.

To renew your card online, you need a membership number from PEAH or HSLDA. It's actually much easier to renew in store. You just need your affidavidt to homeschool or even a letter from your school district acknowledging that you home school.

You can use your PEAH card in store, too! Joann.com just recently relaunched the website so if you are entering your PEAH # and not getting a confirmation pop-up (be sure to enable pop-ups) that could be why.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your question to our site.

Yes, you can sign-up online.

Jo-Ann will mail you your card in a couple weeks. Once you get your card, you will need to take it and your "proof of home educator status" or homeschool identification to the store manager to get it authorized. If you have any problems at the store, please let us know so we can notify Jo-Anns.

I want to apply for a card...did so at the store but never got it...said I could do it on-line...this is not user friendly.

Not sure what you mean by "I signed up in store but never received my card." If you sign up in store you get your card right then and there. The stores are stocked with cards and can reorder as needed. It could be that the store you visited was temporarily out, which means you will need to go back and get your card. The registration and your teacher card are all the same card initially. You sign-up, the store manager authorizes the card and then gives you the portion you present at time of purchase and retains the portion that contains your mailing address. Next time you stop in, ask for the manager on duty. If you experience additional problems, email TeacherRewards@joann.com.

Store discount for store teachers

I teach knitting at the new store in Plantation, Fl and was told to go on line to get my discount card or call a toll free number. I,ve tried the number for four days and it is always busy and this web site is not helping me .
I would like the card as soon as possible so I can make the new projects. I,ve already did three things at my whole expense. Please Help Me.

Hi Marilyn,
I'm sorry you have had trouble getting your card. As far as I know, you are supposed to be able to sign-up for their program instore.

Try to sign-up online - the link to the JoAnn teacher discount program is in the original post (above). Once you get your card in the mail, you will take it to your store and have the manager authorize it. You will need to bring "proof of educator status" with you.
