Horizons Curriculum Grade 1 Language Arts Success
I switched to Alpha Omega Horizons program for my daughter's 1st grade language arts curriculum. She was frustrated and turned off by her Kindergarten reading program, so I searched long and hard to find a curriculum that would be interesting and engaging for her. By the end of the first month, she was enjoying reading a lot more, and by the end of the first semester, she was asking to do more reading! The spiral approach to the lessons is exactly what she needed to feel confident and challenged in her work. I will be continuing the use of Horizons for her 2nd grade language arts curriculum. My only disappointment is that it does not continue into grade 3. Katie, thanks for taking the time to help others who are considering the Alpha Omega Horizon curriculum for their child.
