Homeschooling Teen Needs Housing Assistance in Marysville, OH

Homeschooling Teen Needs Help

Homeschooling Teen Needs Help

Hello,

I'm currently 18 and living with my mother. She is moving in with her soon to be husband and he does not want me with them. I have found many cheap apartments that I'm willing to live in while I do homeschooling and look for a job. I'm looking for a full time job then do my online schooling before bed. I'm trying to find loans or assistance in paying for a apartment because I'm still in high school. I am currently unemployed and have never held a job. I have applied non-stop to several locations but have not heard back from any. If you could provide me with information to help me pay for an apartment until I can get a full time job that would be great. Please email me at jaggedoppolous(at)gmail.com. Also I'm located in Marysville, Ohio.

Thanks
Anthony

Homeschooling Teen Needs Assistance

Hi Anthony,
You have a tough situation but I will try to help you as best I can. I applaud your determination to finish your schooling and hold down a full-time job; working and going to school isn't easy, but you can do it. I would encourage you to find a church or talk to another adult or family member who can help you through this time.

Instead of renting an apartment by yourself, perhaps you can live with another family while you finish school and get settled in your job. I am sure there are many people who would welcome a renter to help with their own mortgage, or perhaps you can do work around the house/yard in exchange for rent.

As far as finding work, visit your local library, college or community center. Sometimes you will find public job postings. Talk to your friends' parents; many jobs opportunities never reach the general population. They may know about an opening or internship that's perfect for you.

Here is a website with some jobs listings in your area:

I hope this helps, Anthony!
Keep in touch!
Blessings,
Heather

You and your mom had a place to live until you both started stealing and lying. You both need to quit using people and taking advantage of them.
