Teaching Textbooks Homeschooling Math Review

Teaching Textbooks Homeschooling Math Review

Step-by-step explanations and solutions to every single problem and test question make this homeschooling math program a "Godsend" for homeschool families.

I LOVE the Teaching Textbooks homeschooling math program and recommend it to anyone who will listen! I'll cut right to the chase: The thing that makes this program a Godsend for homeschooling parents is that along with the text/workbook, you receive dvds with step-by-step explanations for the solutions to every single problem in the course, including the tests.

Never again will you face that stressful situation where your child "doesn't get it," and asks for your help, requiring you to study the text and figure out how they arrived at that answer. The dvds show step-by-step on a whiteboard, with audio explanation, how every problem is solved, including reviewing concepts as needed. So all your child has to do when they are stuck is pop a disk into the computer and follow along.

My son used this homeschooling math series for 9th grade algebra, 10th grade geometry, and 11th grade advanced algebra. With those courses under his belt he tested right into college algebra in 12th grade at our local community college. At the time, not one "schooled" friend of his who had taken advanced algebra in 11th grade at our local high school tested into college level algebra.

Another great aspect is that the courses are very fun. The Harvard educated brothers who developed the program and write the texts have wonderful senses of humor that appeal to youth. My son was often heard chuckling as he did his math.

Well-written and interesting review of Teaching Textbooks homeschooling math curriculum, Shari! Thanks for sharing; your review will be so helpful to others! Blessings, Heather :)
