IEW homeschool writing curriculum is by far the most user friendly "Writing Course". It can be used by large families for several grade at once. It's also perfect for group teaching. I teach grades 3/5/6/8.

IEW is a bit pricey, but the investment pays off. The cds/text can be used over and over. We start off using it every year, just to refresh. The techniques learned carry over to other forms of good communication. LOVED IT!!!!!
