Homeschool Teacher Loves Calvert Home School Curriculum

by Leslie Murphy

Convenience = Calvert in a Box!

Convenience = Calvert in a Box!

Calvert home school curriculum allows easy homeschooling success for mom of two “special ed” kids.

I have used Calvert home school curriculum for a couple of years now and I like the program.

If you are unsure about how to proceed with homeschooling, there is a lesson by lesson plan book for each grade. Generally, we just do a lesson each day; all subjects are covered so the students get a full course thru the year, but it is easy to skip forward and cover what the student needs.

For the ones that are having trouble in math, there is quite a bit of repetition, but when they finally get the concept and you skip to the next chapter, everything flows along very nicely.

I have a 2nd, 4th and 7th grader right now. Two of my students are "special ed" kids, but they are moving along quite well with Calvert. I will be staying with the program in the upcoming years.

I believe that Calvert is reasonably priced, and it all comes in one box, without any scrambling around looking for extras to finish the lessons.

The reading program for the 7th grader included: AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, ANNE FRANK, ROLL OF THUNDER, and KIDNAPPED. The books came in the box and the lesson plan book has all the questions to ask for checking his understanding of the book. You will also find a section for vocabulary enrichment for each book.
