Homeschool Reading Review: Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons

by Sarah Forbes
(Dallas, OR, USA)

Do you have a child that is ready to learn to read? Check out this homeschool reading review of "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons"...

My son was very excited about learning to read. I had began with the reader books you can pick up at Walmart. We had learned the alphabet sounds and still he was having difficulty combining the letters to make words. A friend of mine suggested 100 Easy Lessons. It was awesome!

The games were a big hit and particularly the "say it fast" game. It was that game which made the concept of letter combination click with my son. In only 10 lessons he was reading everything he could get his hands on... including my King James Bible!

I cannot comment on the rest of the book as we did not actually use it. I chose Spelling to Write and Read as our phonics program, but this book pushed us over the wall that seemed to be stopping his progress at the time. For other children with similar challenges, I am confident that this would help.

Sarah, thanks for the homeschool reading review and for taking time to help other parents learn more about "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons". Your thoughts will be helpful to others! Blessings, Heather :)
