As the homeschool movement expands, finding stories isn’t too difficult.

Homeschoolers are experiencing success, involved in communities and impacting our society.

The result? Mainstream media takes notice.

News stories and articles should be reported from an unbiased viewpoint. However, that is not always the case. Some reporters and journalists slant their story based on their personal views or biases.

As a homeschool parent you can take action when a journalist reports wrong information. Write a letter, send an email or add a comment to a blog.

On the flip side, if a news source provides excellent coverage on a current homeschool story or event, make sure you provide positive feedback and appreciation. Many times we criticize and forget to encourage!
