Homeschool Kids Need Remediation!

As a teacher at a small, rural high school, we get a lot of kids in the ninth grade who have been home schooled up until that point. They all need major remediation--especially in math and writing. I also believe it is good for kids to strike out on their own each day without the protection of Mom or Dad. Kids can't learn to fend for themselves in the cruel world of their peers if they always have a safety net. |
