When applying to colleges, you will need to include a homeschool transcript. You do not need to pay a transcript service to do it for you, you can do it yourself! :) I have downloaded your free transcript template and I am unable to open the file. What kind of program opens this? The file is an .xls file. You will need Windows Excel or another program that can open and edit an Excel spreadsheet. You can download a free open source alternative to Microsoft Office that is for Mac and Windows, that will open .xls files, from www.openoffice.org. Transcript Template Customization HelpI'm trying to figure out how to put the name and address of our Home School at the top of the transcript like the sample transcript. Can you help me?Download and save the file to a folder on your computer, first. To edit the top section of the transcript, you will click on "View" from the tool bar. From the drop-down menu, click on "Header/Footer". Now, you will be able to add your own home school name and address, etc. to your transcript. One note about home school names... you may want to think of a name for your home school that doesn't include your last name, like Smith Academy or Smith Home School.
