I really like the Landmark Freedom Baptist homeschool Bible curriculum: Old Testament Characters for 1st Grade. It has five lessons a week, and it starts out with a bible story that students can read with word vocabulary and their definitions. There is True and False Questions and Questions where you pick the right word that is in the box. And sometimes there are crossword puzzles to do. Each week there is a new story to learn about a character in the old testament, and at the end of the week you have to have memorized the verse of the week and you have a weekly quiz. This homeschool bible curriculum costs around $40.00, and it comes with the answer keys. It is a little less expensive at Christianbook.
