Home School Reading Program: Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons

Affordable Home School Reading Program

Affordable Home School Reading Program

I have used the “Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons” home school reading program for teaching two children to read and am starting to use with my 4 1/2 year old twins.

It starts with simple letter sounds and ends at about a 2nd grade level. It is easy to follow and requires virtually no preparation, because it tells you what to say at each point in the lesson.

The lessons are short and after the first ten or so, each contain a picture. They're silly little pictures that accompany the story, and my kids' favorite parts of the lessons are reading the story and then guessing what the picture will look like.

This is a very affordable home school reading program, since it's all contained in one book which runs around $20. I purchased it 8 years ago, so I'm not sure of the current price. Mine is a little tattered and used, but still it's a great program and I'm enjoying using it as much this time around as I did at first with my oldest (12 years old).
