I started using Spell to Write and Read, by Wanda Sanseri, one year ago with my then 8 year old son who had previously been having difficulty learning to read. This program has helped him immensely.

Students simply learn phonograms and spelling rules. By "writing" their "spelling" words, they learn to "read". It's really that easy! We plan to continue to use Spell to Write and Read for many years.

The home school language arts program is designed to be used throughout the elementary years. Upon successfully completing the program, students will be spelling at a 12th grade or above level. Spell to Write and Read teaches spelling, writing, and reading and also has grammar enrichments included.

The program is economical because the only items that need to be purchased are Spell to Write and Read, The WISE Guide, a learning log, phonogram cards and spelling rule cards. These materials can be used for many years with several students.
