Pandia Press History Odyssey Level 1 Homeschool Curriculum

History Odyssey Level One homeschool curriculum by Pandia Press, is a wonderful program for someone who wants to combine Story of the World, Child's History of the World, and other history books into one curriculum without the work.
Lesson plans are made per week and incorporate all books for you. This curriculum also includes some geography/map work for children. This is perfect for my first grade girls who have a short attention span. I read to the girls while they color a sheet related to the topic; they even remember some of the stuff I read to them! That's my only goal at this age!
Great review, Tracy! I have never heard of Pandia Press until now. Thanks for sharing why you like it and how it works in your home school. Wishing you many blessings, Heather :)

Homeschool History Curriculum: Pandia Press History Odyssey - The Ancients Level 2

Homeschool History Curriculum by Pandia Press
I have been eying the Pandia Press homeschool history curriculum for years now and have finally downloaded the free lessons...and will be purchasing the full print version shortly. The free lessons will take a month or more to cover... enough time to get a good feel if it will work for your children's learning styles.
The kids now look forward to doing history! With this course, students learn outlining techniques, summarizing in paragraph form, and use timelines and maps. It is history, geography and writing all in one easy to do format.
I am currently using it with 7th/5th and 3rd grade. I require more from the older students and give more help with the younger ones.
What I like about Pandia homeschool history curriculum is we all read from the same books, but each student ends up with a different, personalized binder of information that was important to them.
I found this curriculum affordable at +/- $50 for a year-long course. You will need a number of other books, but most can be found at the local library or online. You could also just use library books on topic if the recommended ones are unavailable.
Also, I would recommend checking out "enchanted learning" to supplement any curriculum used. Lots of outline maps and good reference material and some of the content is free.
Thanks for the review of Pandia Press homeschool history curriculum - its much appreciated! Blessings, Heather :)

Classical Homeschool History Curriculum
I liked the outlining, and narration of History Odyssey by Pandia Press. It is a nice teaching method and there is scheduled reading, research, map assignments, and much more. I utilized this history curriculum for grades 7-8.
I like most of all that it is so easy to use and is reasonable to purchase. The cost is around $100.00 and includes all but the spine books and your timeline.
You can save a bit of money if you borrow some of the reference books which is a nice way to save on overall cost as well.
I feel this is a great program and uses the classic methods of teaching.
Thanks for taking the time to help others learn more about History Odyssey, Shannon! I appreciate your thoughts. Blessings, Heather :)
