Free Online Homeschooling Curriculum: The Head Of The Class

I have been using The Head Of the Class for over a year with my youngest daughter. She started when she was in 1st grade and is now starting the 3rd grade curriculum. One of my favorite features of this curriculum is that it is online. Everything is on one website. I can see what assignments and subjects she has completed as well as how well she did on the online assignments. The curriculum is very customizable. You can mix different grade levels for each child depending on their ability. There are also online assessments that your child can take. You can then apply the results to your child's curriculum and the program will skip the skills your child has mastered and add ones they need more work on. The developers of the curriculum are very good at taking the users suggestions, comments, and problems and use them to improve or fix different aspects of the curriculum The best part of the curriculum is that it is completely free! You can't beat that for a low cost curriculum! One cost cutting tip that I do is to not print out all the worksheets, many of them can be done by simply opening up the document in your PDF reader. We really love this curriculum and hope to keep using it for quite some time. Excellent review, Teresa!
