Enki Homeschool Curriculum = An Undiscovered Jewel
We use the Enki Curriculum (www.enkieducation.org). The founder has been a teacher for nearly 30 years in a variety of educational settings. So she has created this developmental immersion approach over several years of observation and teaching. And she has brought forth a truly good and inspiring curriculum. The core of this curriculum is finding what works for the family and grounding the family in a healthy rhythm of developmental appropriate activities to include movement, arts, nature, and multi-cultural literature. There is a clear building block progression that eventually leads into academics in first grade. We are currently using the second grade curriculum. The activities allow the child to discovery many 'aha' moments in God's world of wonder and awe. We have used the curriculum since our daughter was five and we have never had a need to look elsewhere. We are supported through consultations, monthly group phone calls, and online discussions with other Enki users. There is a lot of information and experience that the price reflects but it is within reach either through their scholarship program or the ease in using this program at home. It is an unknown jewel waiting to be discovered in the homeschool community, anywhere in the world! Stacy, thanks for sharing! I have never heard of this curriculum and appreciate your review.
