Christian Homeschooling Programs: My Father's World

by Paige F

Elementary Christian Homeschool Programs

Elementary Christian Homeschool Programs

My family has enjoyed using My Father's World Christian homeschool program for kindergarten and first grade and we will be using it this coming year as well.

I like that it covers everything and is all easily laid out for me, the teacher, so I don’t have to do too much planning on my own. Yet, it is adaptable so you can tweek it where needed to fit your family.

I love the biblical focus and how the biblical lesson is often connected to other subjects being taught at the same time. I also appreciate the educational philosophy that the curriculum is based on.

For the early years, they really try to limit the amount of worksheet type work, instead accomplishing the same thing with less effort. I also like the bit of Charlotte Mason style that's hidden within.

If you have the chance to listen to any of the author's lectures at a convention or by ordering CD copies, they are very helpful and encouraging! Also, if you visit their website, www.mfwbooks.com, check out the message boards - very helpful question/answers from parents who are using the materials.

Great review, Paige! Thanks for reviewing MFW; your experience will be very helpful for other parents looking for quality Christian homeschooling programs for their family. Happy Homeschooling! Heather :)
