Can I Home School My Child in Mexico?

Home Schooling in Mexico Question

Home Schooling in Mexico Question

Concerned mom wants to know if she can home school her child in Mexico? Please help if you can...

My family had to move to our home in Mexico because we had no other place to go because of the economy and loss of job. My son speaks no Spanish, so school here for him is almost impossible because of the language barrier. HELP! What can I do?

Yes you can homeschool in Mexico. NEW
by: Jon

Yes you can homeschool in Mexico and it is perfectly legal. Contact the INEA (Instituto Nacional de La Educacion de los Adultos) in your city and they will help you. You can look for your own program or use their modules and then get a state diploma. (It's Only in Spanish)

If he only speaks English, two good programs are ACE and My Fathers World. If he is a U.S. Citizen he should be able to get a diploma from the states.

Hope this helps.
