Calvert home school program provide easy-to-use lesson plans and instruction for teaching students with different learning styles in grades preK through eighth.
You can feel confident when choosing Calvert; it is one of the oldest school-at-home programs available.
For over one hundred years, they have been providing parents educational materials, tailored for home use. One hundred years - that's a long time!
Calvert uses the more traditional approach to homeschooling; if your children have attended public or private school, they will feel comfortable with the curriculum layout.
Each lesson includes a material list, step-by-step instructions, and a summary of assignments, so you only need to worry about the most important task = teaching your child!
You can choose as little or as much teacher support as you need, depending on your needs and your budget.
Calvert 5th Grade Curriculum Kit
As with most homeschooling programs, Calvert works to keep up with the changing times. I received the following message from a happy Calvert user, on July 26, 2010; RW writes:
And sure enough, Calvert now has 32 virtual schools in their partner program, and they are offering ninth grade for the 2014/2015 school year. They are planning on adding additional grades, in the future.
When choosing curriculum it's always nice to know what others think. Although not every curriculum works well for every family, reading other people's experiences will give you an idea of what you can expect from this program.
The following Calvert testimonial was submitted on January 9, 2012, by Carlene Martens of New Franken, WI. She schools her children at home, using Connections Academy and Calvert curriculum:
