Affordable Homeschooling Kindergarten Curriculum
New homeschooling kindergarten mom shares her thoughts and experience with Bright Start books and materials…
I wanted to share my thoughts on a product called Bright Start. When we decided to homeschool, the prices of curriculum kind of blew me away. We weren't sure how our 4yr old daughter would take to being homeschooled and didn't want to "waste" the money on a curriculum that wasn't suited for her.
I did some looking and found that the Bright Start books and education materials were suited well for her age group. Since we were starting out with homeschooling Kindergarten, it was kind of a trial run. Needless to say she enjoyed the worksheets and activities included in the Bright Start book and work book. She flew straight through and I will use the First Grade book this year.
I have also looked into a program online called Alpha and Omega. I will start that when she is in 2nd grade or so. I look forward to this school year and using Bright Start again. It was easy to follow and was not very expensive. I got the hard cover book for $30 and the workbooks for $5 each. I also incorporate my own arts and crafts sessions as well and that costs little to nothing.
Bright Start was a great product to start with and we look forward to expanding with them and using them for practice work after the original curriculum when our daughter gets older.Hi Crystal,
Thanks for sharing your homeschooling kindergarten experience using Bright Start with others; your comments are appreciated! I have never heard of Bright Start before. Could you provide more information – the author or publisher, or where you purchased your workbooks? Thanks!
Blessings, Heather :)
