Alpha Omega Home School Consumer Math
Last year, we used Alpha Omega home school Consumer Math program as an elective for our 12th grade student. We wanted her to have a hold on how to do those things that you may need to know in life.
The Lifepac units are as follows:
Creative Math
Fractions, Decimals and Percents
Family Finances I
Family Finances II
Construction and Building Trades
Service Occupations
Transportation
Business Services
Occupational Diagrams
Looking Back
I like the way the Lifepacs are set up so that your student can stay on track, by knowing what they need to complete. Doing a Lifepac unit every 2-3 weeks they will finish all ten Lifepacs by the end of the school year.
The only negative I see for this Alpha Omega home school program is there is no teachers book like other Lifepac kits. I assume, because by the time the kids are in high school, they figure they should be independent learners by then.
Over all, happy we used it and will use it again for remaining two sons to prepare them!
Lifepac curriculum kits are discounted in April (20%) and in May (15%) on the Alpha Omega website.
Jeanne, thanks for the Alpha Omega home school review and sharing how the Consumer Math Lifepacs have worked with your family. I visited the AOP website and found the Teacher's Guide to go along with this course. You can purchase the course with or without the teacher's guide. Find it here: LIFEPAC® Consumer Math Teacher's Guide
