What are the Advantages of Homeschooling?
More family time, a better education and increased test scores are definitely advantages of homeschooling.
I personally love being able to customize my children's education according to their unique personality and giftedness. Flexibility and being able to include God in our education is also extremely important to my family. As the homeschool movement grows, the reasons why families choose home-based education will continue to increase. Other advantages include allowing your children increased time to pursue their interests or the opportunity to school on your own schedule, at your child's pace.

"I homeschool my two children ages 9 and 7. I also intend on homeschooling my 2 year old. We don't want our children's lives to be worldly! We want their values to be faith based. Also, the way that children are treated now by teachers is unacceptable. Both my son and daughter have been yelled at by their teachers in ways I wouldn't even yell at them. I feel the children are treated like a number and not an individual. I want my children to know that whatever they want out of life is always within their reach! My husband and I both want our children to depend on the Lord and to call on him. Although, there are many times when I feel homeschooling is not for me, I do this for my children and not for me. My children are very smart and I always let them know that whatever their heart desires is within reach." Melissa, home educator from Oklahoma
