Stress-free Military Homeschooling: ACE Paces and Online K12

by Deborah

Military homeschooling mom shares what she likes about ACE homeschool curriculum AND Online K12 Program...

I have used ACE paces for years with all of my children. We are a military family and move from school to school a lot. In doing so, our children miss lots of vital information so we choose to homeschool or even supplement their education with the paces.

Online K12 program allows our children to travel with us, to get ahead and also catch up if they need. I am very pleased with alternative education other than the public school system. I also enjoy the ACE paces because they are Bible based. So much of our country was founded on values that are not being taught because of "political correctness" these days.
Thank you,
Mrs. Ghiglieri

Deborah, thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to help others, especially military homeschooling families, learn how you homeschool your children while traveling. Enjoy your year! Blessings, Heather :)

Learn how ACE homeschool curriculum helps this busy homeschooling mother of eight children educate her family easily!

I love, love, love ACE homeschool curriculum! I have eight children ages 6 months - 15 years. ACE is the easiest way to homeschool all of them! It is easy to take the current pace along with us when going out of town. Keeping up with grades is incredibly easy. I have also found that it gets cheaper every year because I already have answer keys and literature books from years before.

Successfully homeschooling multiple and multi-aged children at the same time = great testimonial for ACE homeschool curriculum! Thanks for sharing, Shanna! Blessings, Heather :)

ACE NEW

I attended one of the few ACE schools back in the 70's. They are using close to the same material now. I attended ACE from 3rd to 8th grade, and then a regular high school I went on to college and graduted as a an RN. Some of my family also attended ACE, two went on to college, and then went on to become teachers (one in public school, and the other in private). One attended the ACE school for 9 years, and the other for 6 years. Now all these years later, I homeschool two of my five kids. They both attend charter online schools, and I supplement the 8th grader with ACE math, and the 12th grader with ACE social studies, and science. I think the ACE paces are challenging enough. I do think they need to be supplemented with other educational activities though.

ACE PACES

by Dani
(Fort Hood TX)

I am new to homeschooling my son, but I used ACE PACES myself when I was in school. It was a thorough and wonderful curriculum that I really enjoyed using. I plan on using it for my son as well.

I used it for the last two years of high school and picked up on it quickly, very easy to use and understand. Used for junior and senior year of high school.

I can't really say whether it was affordable at this point because I was not the one paying for it then.

Since you can contact them at any time it made things go smoothly for me, and if I ever need my transcript I can call them and have one faxed right away.

Dani,
Thanks so much for sharing your experience with ACE PACES curriculum; your thoughts are helpful! Welcome to the wonderful world of homeschooling - enjoy every moment with your son! Blessings, Heather :)

ACE Paces are the BEST!

by Connie McClammy

Another A+ for ACE Home School Curriculum!

Another A+ for ACE Home School Curriculum!

Tried and true: ACE home school curriculum stands the test of time for this former-teacher-turned-homeschool mom of four. "If it ain't broke, why fix it?" she says. :)

Would you believe ACE's PACES were used when I was in school (from 3rd - 12th grade)? I also taught using PACES for almost ten years in a Christian school here in Pensacola, FL. Now that I homeschool four children, for the last eight years, there's no other way to go.

Some things I appreciate about ACE home school curriculum:

  • Keeping track of grades are all in one folder.
  • Permanent and semester grades are all together.
  • The Literature books and PACES to go with them are easy to read and very interesting. They don't even take up much room in my kitchen.
  • There is a lot of repetition, but if you sense your child is understanding the material, feel free to skip a few pages and move on.

WOW! There is no other way to homeschool, especially with different grade levels to keep track of. I recommend PACES every chance I get. THEY ROCK!
Connie McClammy

Connie, you highlight some great features of ACE’s PACES that homeschool parents will find beneficial... thanks!

Ace Paces Review: First, Second, and Third Grade

by Nina Yeager
(Des Plaines, Il)

Non-religious homeschooling mom loves Ace Ministries; read her Ace Paces review to find out why...

Hello all,
I just wanted to sing praises to Ace Ministries for their home-school Paces curriculum. I was having a really hard time finding affordable curriculum for three home-schoolers. Each grade level is set up into 12 levels-or Paces. When diagnosing your child's level (which they also have an online tool for), you can get the areas they need to master without having to worry about it not being in their grade level curriculum. For example: My daughter is in 2nd grade level paces, but needed to master some 1st grade level math paces. After having her take the placement tests, it showed me exactly what paces she needed to work on, and the corresponding workbooks, or Paces that would serve her best. Each Pace is about $2.80 a workbook (super affordable).

I have to admit I was weary of this program at first because it is SO religious, and we are not what I would describe as a religious family. However, it turned out to be a really great decision. There are many character lessons that are valuable for kiddos, (and adults too). Example? My daughter just learned about compassion and why it is important. Also another great thing is that it fosters independence. Each workbook or Pace has a corresponding "key" (about the same price). When your babes are done with their assignments, they grade their own work and correct it themselves. But don't worry, there is still plenty of opportunity for you as a parent to be involved, and enjoy the learning process with them. I give this curriculum an A+++. It is also very wonderful when you have a lot of different age levels.

Thanks for sharing your Ace Paces review for grades 1, 2, and 3, Nina; your thoughts are greatly appreciated and helpful! Blessings, Heather :)
