ACE Homeschool Curriculum Review

ACE Homeschool Curriculum Benefits

ACE Homeschool Curriculum Benefits

Former public school student shares why she chooses ACE homeschool curriculum for her children...

I grew up in public school and then my junior year, after lots of problems with the public district, I decided to join a Christian School. Their curriculum was all Christian based of course, but in the K-6 grades they used the ABeka program, and in grades 7-12
they used the ACE program.

At first I was a little uncertain because it was set up so much different than public school, but then it became almost the next best thing for me.

I could do as much work at home as I wanted and score it all at school. The way the school was set up if you scored lower than an 80 on any test you would have to retake the test. At first I was very annoyed if I had only failed by one or two points, but then I saw the reason for how important it was.

Each PACE (the booklets that you work through) builds on each other, so if you do not completely understand what you are learning in the PACE you will not understand the next PACE. Some PACE's were so repetitive from previous PACE's that we would only do bits and pieces of some.

I got engaged the same year I enrolled to the Christian school, my husband and I were really involved with church and both decided to go to college for ministry. We came upon the topic of when we have kids...Where will they go to school? We both agreed that we did not like how public school was set up and how many negative influences there are in public schools that it would be best if we were to homeschool our children in a Christian based environment.

I am very supportive of the ACE program, not just because I used it for my schooling but also because it is easy to understand for both the parent and the children. I would recommend ACE homeschool curriculum to any homeschooler or anyone who is thinking about starting to homeschool their children.

Robyn, what a great story! Thanks for sharing about ACE homeschool curriculum and highlighting some great benefits for other parents. Blessings, Heather :)
