ACE Homeschool Curriculum Review AND Words of Wisdom for New Homeschooling Parents

We have been using ace homeschool curriculum for a little over a year now. I love this program because it keeps them on the level that is right for them. In my family we have four children homeschooling, as much as I like to try and be supper woman I am not. ACE curriculum allows a lot of independent work for the older students, so you have time to help the younger with more one-on-one. Depending on what your specific needs are it can be fairly cheap or pretty expensive. With ACE you have the option to do it all on your own, or be through a school accreditation program. We chose to go solo so that it would not be as expensive. We also cut a lot of cost by not getting all the score keys. In subjects that my husband or I are good at we just grade ourselves which cuts cost. We also order quarterly instead of yearly. Now, in the end I believe you pay a little more this way but if you don’t have a lot of extra money to put in all at once this is the way to go. If I were to offer advice to a new homeschooling family, advice I wish I would have known, it would be: No homeschool curriculum will fit for every family, no two children will learn the same way, and it is ok to feel like you are going to die some days and make mistakes, because tomorrow God gives you another whack at it.. Every day it seems as something else pops up, but it does get easier!! Find what works for you and your kids and have fun while leading your family in a wonderful adventure!!
