ACE Graduate Homeschools With ACE Curriculum
by Homeschooling Mom

I am a graduate of a Christian school using ACE curriculum in the 1980's. After high school I attended Pensacola Christian College where I received a degree in Music Education. I never felt unprepared for my college classes having graduated from an ACE school. I actually was an honor student.
I have graduated one daughter, using ACE at home. She is also a college graduate with a degree in early childhood education. She is a preschool teacher in a Christian school.
I am currently teaching 11th, 5th and 3rd grade at home. I use ACE curriculum mostly.
What I like most about ACE is its affordability and structure. I know what has to be accomplished in a day to finish the school year on time. The high school subjects are challenging and I admit I use a tutor for Algebra. Never my strong subject.
The beauty of homeschooling is that you decide what your children study. If literature is important to you and you find ACE weak in that area, you can always assign your own choices in literature. Same with any other subject.
I have observed other homeschooling families who flit from curriculum to curriculum trying to find the perfect one. My advice, is choose one and do it. ACE works for me with the grade spreads I have. I end the year knowing my children have completed all subjects in their grade level. I don't have to wonder what I will be doing next year.
Excellent ACE curriculum review and advice! Thanks for sharing about ACE from your unique vantage point as both an ACE graduate and homeschooling mom; I appreciate it! Blessings,
