Learning Numbers with Button Bear Book
After much thought, my husband and I decided to start our two year old daughter on the ABeka Nursery program. As an entire homeschool preschool curriculum is not available for two year olds, specifically, we chose to order the 'Preschool Animal Alphabet Friends' set of 26 flashcards, 'Animal Alphabet Friends CD', and 'Learning Numbers with Button Bear' workbook. Before starting the program, our daughter was great following instructions and her comprehension skills were wonderful. Although she has been saying short phrases for quite some time, we noticed that she was not very motivated to put words to use and to be as verbal as we believed she was capable of being. With all the curricula available, I just didn't know where to start. However, ABeka caught my eye because they advertised these books as geared towards two year olds. We are SO glad we started this homeschool preschool curriculum with our daughter! The materials were VERY affordable, and in one week the change has been amazing. She is so interested in learning and is truly having fun. She can now place the letter A, for example, with words we say simply by recognizing the phonics, in addition to recognizing it in sentences! It has truly been a blessing for us and such fun for her. Right now we are introducing one letter per week with the flashcards and CD. We do this on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we focus on 'Learning Numbers with Button Bear'. Both sets of materials are EXCELLENT and we are very pleased.
